The first step in understanding how to feel better is tending to your physical health. Our bodies operate as intricate interlinking systems, with countless processes influencing our wellbeing. Hormones, the body’s messengers, are particularly sensitive to their environment, and when imbalanced, they can have a very real impact on how you feel. Elevating our physical health involves nurturing our bodies with proper nutrition, exercise, adequate rest, good stress management and learning to listen attentively to our body’s signals to feel physically and mentally better.

Seeing a health coach is a great way to elevate your health. A health coach will leverage lifestyle medicine and a gut-first approach to helping you heal your body. As Hippocrates once said, “All disease begins in the gut”. We all need food to fuel ourselves and to provide the nutrients our organs need to perform their various tasks. There is such a vast range of dietary options these days. No wonder some of these options will have negative consequences for our bodies. So much of our stress and emotional resilience comes from our bodily systems working optimally. And this is dependant on the quality and range of foods we nourish ourselves with.

Another crucial aspect of feeling better involves aligning our actions and self-expression with our values and passions. Living authentically and in alignment with our values brings a profound sense of fulfilment.
